Increase in the price of copper, cobalt, zinc and silver on the international market

Kinshasa, September 16th, 2022 (CPA) – The prices of copper, cobalt, zinc and silver will increase on the international market during the period from September 19th to 24th, indicates the Commission of the Ministry in charge of Foreign Trade, in a press release received on Friday at CPA.

 According to the release, these products will trade respectively at USD 8,001.00 against USD 7,674.95 per ton previously; USD 51,267.00 against USD 51,265.00 per ton; USD 3,238.70 against USD 3,218.85 per tonne and USD 0.61 against USD 0.60 per gram.

The source also notes that the other mining products, namely, tin, gold and tantalum will, on the other hand, experience a decline in the international market during the same period, trading respectively at USD 21,679.00 against USD 22,615.00 per ton; USD 55.61 against USD 55.90 per gram and USD 392.00 against USD 408.00 per kilogram.

Robusta coffee, Arabica coffee and rubber price stability

The National Commission of Mercurial Prices of the Ministry in charge of Foreign Trade has also indicated that the prices of Robusta coffee, Arabica coffee and rubber will remain stable during the same period on the international market.

These products will trade at USD 2.21 per kilogram respectively; USD 4.19 per kilogram and USD 0.65 per kilogram.

However, other agricultural products and forestry menus, namely; cocoa, papain, cinchona bark, totaquina powder, quinine salt and rauwolfia will decline over the review period, trading respectively at USD 1.19 against USD 1.29 per kilogram; USD 17.4 against USD 17.58 per kilogram; USD 2.02 against USD 2.04 per kilogram; USD 59.40 against USD 60.00 per kilogram; USD 100.98 against USD 102.00 per kilogram and USD 1.68 against USD 1.70 per kilogram.
