Beautification works in the city of Kinshasa have reached an appreciable level according to Governor Ngobila

Kinshasa, September 19th, 2022 (CPA).- The governor of the city-province of Kinshasa, Gentiny Ngobila Mbaka, said that beautification works have reached an appreciable level in the various sites visited across the capital, at the result of an inspection tour carried out on certain public roads on Saturday, in the company of Vice-Governor Gerard Gecoco Mulumba and members of the Provincial Executive.

On this occasion, he criss-crossed the municipality of Masina, in the eastern part of the city, where he cleared out vendors on the sidewalks along Lumumba Boulevard in order to clear spaces on public rights-of-way and then continued his rounds at Hindu market.

From there, the procession of the urban authority went to the heavyweight avenue in the municipality of Limete where the rights of way of this public road were cleaned after having evacuated the wrecks of the vehicles and demolished the buildings erected anarchically along this artery.

In addition, the urban authority was able to realize the development work of the gardens embellishing this municipality on heavyweights and along the boulevard Lumumba from the first to the 16th street, passing by the 5th and 6th where palm trees royals were planted as well as flower hedges.

The last stage of the tour was devoted to the visit of the By-pass avenue in the municipality of Lemba where the two officials inspected the rehabilitation works of the public lighting between the “Echangeur” square and the Ngaba roundabout. To this end, the governor affirmed that this section of road could be fully lit by the end of the current month of September and that the order for solar lamps has already been made to do this, which will make it possible to begin the second phase of this operation, which will go from the Ngaba roundabout to Binza-Ozone in the town of Ngaliema, announced Governor Gentiny Ngobila.

The urban executive said he was generally satisfied with the progress of these embellishment works, rehabilitation of public lighting and road infrastructure which are being done under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo in order to restore the image of the city of Kinshasa and at the same time solve one of the problems related to urban banditry.
