Shabunda/Sud-Kivu, September 20th, 2022 (CPA) – The president of the « Union for the Congolese Nation » (UNC), a political party member of the Sacred Union, Vital Kamerhe, on a « peace tour » in the eastern part of DRC, declared on Friday in his meeting at Muzinga stadium in Shabunda-Centre, capital of the territory of the same name, that « the plan for the balkanization of DRC will never succeed ».
“We advocate a policy of good neighbourliness but we must respect each other. DRC will never be a colony of someone and DRC balkanization plan will never succeed, DRC will never be divided. Those who claim with arms must come to their senses to develop the country”, underlined Vital Kamerhe who made the same speech in Birava, in the territory of Kabare.
In the same vein, the president of UNC devoted, last Sunday morning, to the cults of thanksgiving for his acquittal in the « 100 days file » and to castigate the invasion of the Republic Democratic Republic of Congo by certain neighbouring countries, in this case Rwanda. « All Congolese must work for the return of peace in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo« , he insisted,
The former Chief of Staff of Felix Tshisekedi has been in Sud Kivu province since last Thursday, as part of a peace tour in the east of the country. He started with Nord Kivu province, where he went to Rutshuru, Masisi and Rubaya. Everywhere, he calls the Congolese people to unity and cohesion.
