The Head of State notes the need to involve people to advance the gender agenda in the world

Kinshasa, September 21nd, 2022 (CPA) – The President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshilombo Tshisekedi noted the importance of maximizing efforts in favour of gender parity, but also that of integrating men in the promotion of the genre, in his speech, delivered on Tuesday at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, in the United States.

He said on this subject: “Allow me to say a word about gender parity to create spaces for gender equality, opportunities for freedom and action for women«

The way to achieve this, according to the Congolese Head of State, revolves around the involvement of men in gender promotion policies. This is necessary because, on the one hand, the man shares life with the woman, and on the other hand, since time immemorial, for various reasons, the man has forged a pre-eminence over the woman who gives him a decisive influence on the destiny of the latter.

The Head of State invited the Nations of the world to put an end to this situation, during his statement at the ordinary session of UN General Assembly in New York. The position of the Congolese Head of State has, in the opinion of many analysts and gender experts, met the advocacy of UN Women on the issues that should be raised at the 77th session of the General Assembly.

Hours before the start of the work, this UN entity let it be known that the reality is such that in 2022, no country has achieved gender equality and is not close to it. Before noting that during this General Assembly, it is important to put the issue of women’s rights on the agenda and to ask women leaders around the world to intensify their efforts in favour of women.
