Advocacy to provide DRC with a mining processing market


Kinshasa, November 23rd, 2022 (CPA) – The Minister of State in charge of Regional Planning, Guy Loando Mboyo, pleaded for Democratic Republic of Congo to have a mining processing market, especially since mining law is well organized in DRC, during his speech on Wednesday at the first symposium of mining and quarrying agents at the Congo River Hotel.

« Taking into account the fact that mining law is well organized in DRC, it would be desirable for our country to have a mining processing market », declared the Minister of State.

Invited to these meetings organized by the agents in mines and quarries of DRC, in his capacity as a member of this corporation, Guy Loando Mboyo focused his presentation on the sub-theme: « The agents in mines and quarries facing the mining markets”.

With proven experience in the mining sector, Guy Loando explained in particular the role and the conditions for becoming an agent in mines and quarries as well as the organization of the mining market.

“There is a completely natural link between the bodies of mining agents. The legislator wanted issues related to mining administration to be managed by a professional category can interact with the mining administration. The law wanted this interaction to take place through a body called the Corps of Mining and Quarry Agents », he underlined.

“Mining and quarrying agents are responsible for advising or assisting interested parties in the exercise of mining and quarry rights as well as in related litigation,” said Minister of State Loando.
