Election 2023: Publication next Saturday of the electoral calendar


Kinshasa, November 23rd, 2022 (CPA) – The President of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), Denis Kadima Kazadi, announced on Wednesday the publication of the electoral calendar for 2023 general elections.

« I will thus take the opportunity that you offer me to announce the publication of the electoral calendar this Saturday, November 26th, 2022″, underlined the president of CENI Denis Kadima, during the framework of consultation CENI-Political parties organized in the room of the People’s Palace show.

During this meeting, the president of the electoral center said that the mapping of registration centers is finalized and that the number of these registration centers has not been reduced in any of the 12 provinces.

According to Denis Kadima, the recruitment process for temporary staff is continuing normally. His institution has started level 2 of the training cascade in the ten provinces which constitute the first operational area of ​​the voter identification and registration operation.

“I personally wanted to launch this training in Kinshasa on the same day, Sunday, where 136 facilitators are used to train 1,452 participants, including provincial electoral trainers (FEP) or legal focal points”, he said.

The 29,700 kits, he said, have been ordered and will mainly run on solar power in 22,271 registration centers adding that CENI has planned just over 10,000 kits to cover 10 provinces.

This meeting, which is at its third meeting, is intended to be a framework for transparent and honest communication with the stakeholders in order to regain their trust, concluded Denis Kadima Kazadi.
