Financial agencies mobilize more than USD 766 million in November 2022

Kinshasa, December 5th, 2022 (CPA).- More than USD 766 million, or CDF 1,541.2 billion of tax and non-tax revenue were mobilized by the financial authorities for the month of November alone, revealed the Finance Minister Nicolas Kazadi in his report to the Council of Ministers.

“The Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGDA) and the Directorate General of Administrative, Judicial, State and Participation Revenue (DGRAD) mobilized CDF 1,541.2 billion tax and non-tax revenue during the month of November 2022”, revealed Nicolas Kazadi, Minister of Finance. The height of the mobilization of these revenues shows that the financial authorities have exceeded for the umpteenth time the assignments which have been set for them, i.e. CDF 1,467.4 billion, representing USD 729.3 million  against a mobilization of CDF 1,541 2 billion , thus generating a mobilization rate of around 105% for the eleventh month of the year 2022.

These revenues from the financial authorities are thus broken down as follows: the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) mobilized CDF 1,009.9 billion, or 125% of the forecast of CDF 806.7 billion; the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGDA) mobilized CDF 344 billion, or 88% of the forecast of CDF 390 billion and the Directorate General of Administrative, State, Judicial and Participation Revenue (DGRAD) collected CDF 187.3 billion, or 69% of its forecasts set at CDF 270.7 billion.

In addition, the cumulative revenue from January 1 to November 30, 2022 showed a total amount of about CDF 17,424.5 billion. This represents a 127% achievement rate compared to the expected linear forecasts of CDF 13,690.9 billion and a 118% implementation rate compared to the annual forecasts of CDF 14,790.9 billion.

Compared to their respective annual forecasts, the cumulative situation by the financial authorities shows an achievement rate of 151% for the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI); 77% for the General Directorate of Customs and Excise (DGDA) and 100% for the General Directorate of Administrative, State, Judicial and Participation Revenue (DGRAD), it is reported.
