Bulungu, December 5th, 2022 (CPA).- The city of Bulungu, capital of the territory of the same name in Kwilu has just been equipped with a modern sawmill announced César Lumpumu, supervisor of the works of the said sawmill, during an interview on Monday with the press.
« This gesture is the work of Mrs. Joceline Mupeka, national deputy, elected for this territory, within the framework of the supervision of young people by teaching them the trade with a view to combating juvenile delinquency, especially the Kuluna phenomenon which has taken magnitude in this city » noted the supervisor.
He added by pointing out that this location of the sawmill also allows players in the sector to adapt to modern techniques of the trade and gives the opportunity to students from local technical schools to carry out professional practices there.
In addition to the sawmill, Ms. Mupeka also supervises women in a women’s association called Congolese women for peace (AFECOFAD) and development where peasant women learn trades, it is noted. ACP/
