Kinshasa, December 19th, 2022 (CPA).- The Director General of the Congolese Control Office (OCC), Etienne Tshimanga launched the weekend, the construction works of the building to house the laboratory services of the Maluku Agency in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, writes a press release from this public establishment received Monday at the CPA.
“The Director General Etienne Tshimanga chaired a meeting with the Management Committee of the Maluku agency during which he called on the agents and managers to work towards a frank collaboration for more creativity. In the coming days, this new laboratory under construction will include activities.
I call on you to take ownership of the construction activities of this new building,” said the Director General.
This laboratory is accredited in the inspection of logs and sawn timber in Kinshasa in the DRC. The work of the said laboratory will extend over a period of 90 days, i.e. from April 1 of next year and concerns the construction of an entity specialized in the quality control of wood for export.
The general manager, on this occasion, made a working visit to the facilities of the Maluku agency which are housed within the premises of the company « SIFORCO ».
For his part, the Head of Agency took advantage of this visit to inform the authority of the renewal of the accreditation of the Maluku Agency in the Wood sector.
« The world is in perpetual development, we must support the President of the Republic in his policy of rebuilding the country », he said while recalling that in addition to the Agencies of Kin-aéro, Beach Ngobila and Kikwit, the he Maluku agency is also part of the Kinshasa Provincial Directorate.
It is accredited in the inspection of logs and square-edged timber by “Southern African Development Community Copperation in Accreditation (SADCAS)” and the Accreditation Council in Tunisia (TUNAC) respectively under the numbers INSI-6001 and 4-0020.
The Maluku agency provides services according to regulatory and technical requirements. This is the first working visit of the General Management to the Maluku Agency since their appointment on August 31st, 2022, it is reported. ACP/
