The DRC and France sign two agreements worth 18 million euros

Kinshasa, December 22nd, 2022 (CPA).-The Democratic Republic of Congo and the French Republic signed on Tuesday in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), two agreements for a total of 18 million euros, reveals a press release from the Ministry of Finance received on Wednesday at the CPA.

The DRC was represented at this signature by its Minister in charge of Finance Nicolas Kazadi and the French Republic by its Secretary of State in charge of international partnerships, Ms. Chrysoula Zacharopoulou and the Director of the French Development Agency (AFD), Ms. Ibrahim otokore Safia.

« The 1st agreement of 14 million euros relates to support for the reform of financial management and the 2nd agreement for 4 million euros, will support two National Schools including that of Administration (ENA) and the National Institute of Judicial Training (INAFORJ),” the statement said.

These projects concretely illustrate the dynamic in which France, through AFD, is committed alongside the Democratic Republic of Congo, underlines the source, which suggests that by the end of December 2022, half of the volume of commitment set in the memorandum of understanding will have been committed by the ADF group, ie 237 million euros, representing 46% of the objectives of 500 million euros set.
