Bandundu, January 14th, 2023 (CPA) – The activities of the National School of Electoral Administration (ENAEL)/DRC were recently launched in the city of Bandundu by the vice-governor of Kwilu province, Felicien Kiway, in the presence of the dynamic international delegation of human rights activists « DIADH », led by its president, Joseph Eric Muzuma. According to Muzuma, “ENAEL is an educational institution supporting democracy and good electoral governance; a permanent framework for exchange, information and training between experts and technocrats in electoral matters on the one hand and stakeholders in the electoral process as well as anyone wishing to learn and know the concepts relating to the functioning of the CENI and the electorate in DRC, on the other hand”. « It aims to train local experts in electoral matters, national and international observers as well as electoral agents, so that they are able to help the population and stakeholders in the electoral process to become actively and responsibly involved in the realization of civic education and the promotion of human rights to accompany the Congolese State and the CENI to organize the elections in all responsibility”, he added. Apart from political elections, ENAEL also deals with the training of people on all issues including the notion of “election” both political and social within establishments and parastatals. For his part, Vice-Governor Kiway promised the support of the provincial government for the smooth running of the activities.
