Towards the holding of a Festival on Central Africa in Berlin

Kinshasa, January 24th,  2022 (CPA).- The forthcoming organization of a cultural festival on Central Africa in Berlin, Germany was on the menu of exchanges on Monday between the Ambassador of Democratic Republic of Congo in Germany , Jeannot Letamba and the Minister in charge of Culture, Arts and Heritage, Catherine Kathungu Furaha, in her office in Gombe.  « I came first, to present my courtesies to Minister Catherine Kathungu Furaha, which I had not had the opportunity to do since her appointment, because the previous year, my schedule did not allow me to do so, then exchange on the organizational modalities of this festival”, declared the Congolese diplomat at the end of this meeting.

Staying in Kinshasa, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of DRC to the Federal Republic of Germany since November 2018, wanted to fulfil this duty while presenting his courtesies and New Year’s wishes to Minister Kathungu.

He also added that with the impetus of the President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo at the head of various African sub-regional organizations and his active diplomacy, everything is being done to promote the black continent in Germany.

“I also came to inform him that with the leadership of the Head of State, which is recognized by his counterparts at the head of several sub-regional organizations, all his ambassadors abroad are automatically chairpersons of the committees of ambassadors of those states. From where, for us in Germany, I proposed to my colleagues the organization of a cultural festival on Central Africa”, he specified.

The Minister in charge of Culture, Arts and Heritage, said she was satisfied with the beginning of these discussions which will allow in their realization to carry high the banner of DRC in particular and that of the African continent in general.  CPA/
