Kinshasa, January 30st, 2023 (CPA).- Experts from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will be on an inspection visit to the sports infrastructure of the TP Mazembe stadium in Lubumbashi in the province of Haut-Katanga, and at the Martyr de Pentecôte in Kinshasa from 01 to 04 February 2023, learned CPA on Monday, from the site of the Congolese Federation of Football Association (FECOFA).

In DRC, the first stage of this journey of CAF experts will first be a visit to the TP Mazembe club as well as the stadiums that will be able to host this competition, namely: the “Martyrs de la Pentecôte” stadium, in Kinshasa, and that of “TP Mazembe” in Lubumbashi.
And to add: “This mission of the CAF delegation will essentially revolve around the management of this team, concerned by the African Super League, in this case TP Mazembe. There will also be a question of the evaluation of sports infrastructures as well as accommodation sites, sanitary facilities and airports”.
« The CAF experts will meet the president of TP Mazembe, Moise Katumbi, the Board of Directors and the general manager of the club », notes the source, specifying later that in this mission, the CAF experts will also inspect the main stadiums that will be used during this competition. These are the “Martyrs de la Pentecost stadium” in Kinshasa and the “TP Mazembe stadium” in Lubumbashi as well as the training grounds.
“The hospitals and airports that will be used for the matches in the sites concerned will also be visited by CAF inspectors. The FECOFA website also indicates that the CAF experts will take advantage of their stay in Lubumbashi to extend their mission to the Frederic Kibasa Maliba stadium, recently rehabilitated by the governorate of the province of Haut Katanga”, informs the source.
The full program for the visit of CAF experts includes: Wednesday, February 1st, 2023: arrival of the delegation in Kinshasa. On Thursday, February 2nd, 2023: from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., visit to hotels in Kinshasa. 4:00 p.m.: departure for Lubumbashi; 8:30 p.m., meeting with the president of TP Mazembe. On Friday, February 3rd, 2023: from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., visit to the TP Mazembe stadium and the Kibasa Maliba stadium as well as the training grounds; breakfast; 2:30 p.m., visit of hotels in Lubumbashi; 8:00 p.m. return to Kinshasa.
On Saturday, February 4th, 2023: from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., inspection of the Martyrs de la Pentecost stadium in Kinshasa; breakfast; 1:30 p.m., departure for N’djili airport. ACP/
