Kinshasa, march 14th, 2023 (CPA).- The national coach and manager of the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sebastien Desabre left Kinshasa on Monday for Lubumbashi in Haut-Katanga for the prospecting in anticipation of the match of March 24th, 2023 against Mauritania, observed CPA.
The other members of the technical staff and some players will join him in Lubumbashi at the end of the week, but the majority of the players is expected early next week.
As a reminder, the Democratic Republic of Congo will be in a double confrontation against Mauritania, on March 24th and 29th, 2023 in the qualifiers for the CAN, Côte d’Ivoire (Côte d’Ivoire) 2023 but scheduled for 2024.
The Leopards have zero points in two outings against Gabon in Kinshasa (0-1) and against Sudan in Khartoum (2-1). Two very important matches that the Congolese felines are in the obligation to win in order to avoid a second humiliation of the non-participation of DRC in the final phase of the Africa Cup of Nations.
