Kinshasa, march 14th, 2023 (CPA).- The president of the Congolese Federation of Association Football (FECOFA), Donatien Tshimanga Mwamba, has been in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, since Sunday, in order to participate in the Extraordinary General Assembly of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) scheduled from Tuesday, March 14th to Thursday, March 16th, 2023, according to the calendar of the congress of the supreme body of world football.
President Donatien Tshimanga is accompanied by members of the FECOFA executive committee, notably the first vice president Jean Didier Massamba Malonga and the Belgian general secretary Situatala Matualukila.
Incumbent president Gianni Infantino is standing for election as his own successor, with all three members of the executive committee as active voters.
King Mohamed VI of Morocco is Gianni Infantino’s No. 1 guest at his March 14th -16th, 2023 meeting in Kigali.
The elections themselves will take place on Thursday March 16th and will be preceded by the extraordinary general assembly, it is reported. CPA/
