Kinshasa, march 14th, 2023 (CPA).- The concert of the Gospel singer, Deborah Lukalu scheduled for March 17th at the Zenith concert hall in Paris, France, has been postponed for a later date, the artist announced on her social page, consulted on Monday by CPA.
« It is with great regret that I announce the postponement of my concert scheduled at the Zenith of Paris, after a collective decision taken between the production company and the Zenith of Paris, » she said.
« I would like to personally apologise for the inconvenience, but like you, I am so looking forward to worshiping and celebrating God together. And this is only a postponement, as a new date will be communicated to you very soon, » she promised.
Tickets sold for this Deborah Lukalu concert will remain valid until the next date is published.
When the singer’s concert was announced, some Congolese in the diaspora, commonly known as « Combatants », protested on social networks, forbidding the artist to perform in order to sympathise with the Congolese people living in the East of the country, victims of several barbarities by armed groups.
This reason was at the root of the cancellation of several concerts of Congolese music stars abroad, including the group « MPR » of the singer « Koffi Olomide » and others.
