Kinshasa, March 16th, 2023 (CPA). – Two new confirmed cases of Covid-19 were recorded on Monday in the province of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), out of 725 samples tested, reported the daily bulletin of the technical secretariat of the Multisectoral Committee for the response to Covid-19, which reached CPA on Wednesday.
The same source said that the Covid-19 test is free in DRC, except for unvaccinated travellers who will have to pay 30 US dollars.
All provinces of DRC are affected by this epidemic as follows: Kinshasa (50,888 cases); Nord Kivu (10,776 cases); Sud Kivu (7,039 cases); Kongo Central (6,562 cases); Lualaba (6,124 cases); Haut Uele (4,060 cases); Tshopo (1. 705 cases); Tshopo (1,583 cases); Ituri (1,444 cases); Kasai Oriental (957 cases); Kasai (493 cases); Maniema (354 cases); Lomami (341 cases); Nord-Ubangi (292 cases): Kwilu (230 cases); Mongala (207 cases); Tshuapa (154 cases); Mai-Ndombe (129 cases); Kwango (127 cases); Bas-Uele (108 cases); Haut-Lomami (91 cases); Tanganyika (62 cases); Sankuru (58 cases).
Since the declaration of the epidemic in DRC on March 10th, 2020, the cumulative number of cases is 95,853, of which 95,861 are laboratory confirmed and 2 are probable. In total, there have been 84,395 recoveries and 1,465 deaths so far. CPA/
