Kinshasa, March 17th, 2023 (CPA) – The socio-economic and security situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo was on the agenda of the meeting on Thursday at the diocesan pastoral centre Lindonge, in Kinshasa, between Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo and the Swiss ambassador to DRC, Chasper Sarott.

Chasper Sarott has represented the Swiss Confederation in the Democratic Republic of Congo since August 2022. Long before his appointment as accredited ambassador to the country, he served as deputy head of mission in Warsaw, Poland (2017) and head of mission in Antananarivo, Madagascar (2019).
