Kinshasa, March 18th, 2023, (CPA) – The workshop to upgrade the Congolese artists selected to represent the Democratic Republic of Congo at the IX Games of the Francophony, also called the « Cultural Leopards », ended on Friday in the Mongita room of the National Theatre Company, confirmed to CPA, the communication officer of the Cultural Participation of DRC at the above-mentioned games.
« These meetings took place from March 15th to 17th in the Mongita room. They consisted in the technical preparation of Congolese artists selected for these games. This workshop was initiated by the Organization of pre-selections and cultural participation of the Democratic Republic of Congo to the IXth Games of the Francophony/Kinshasa 2023. This workshop comes a week after the one of upgrading of the supervisors« , said the communication officer of the Cultural Participation of DRC, Jules Tambwe at the closing of this workshop devoted to the cultural Leopards.
From Wednesday March 15th to Friday 17th, 2023, at the Mongita room of the National Theatre Company, the Cultural Leopards acquired knowledge on public communication and on the look (costume and make-up) adapted to major cultural events. « The objective of this activity prior to the technical preparation itself is to prepare the artists to better express themselves in public, including in front of the media, and to choose the attire and make-up best suited to the circumstances of the Games, » added Mr Tambwe.
Since the beginning of February, the Committee headed by Michel Ngongo Bisanga has been making efforts to provide artists and their technical supervisors with the capacities that will enable them to win the largest number of medals at the IX Games of La Francophony scheduled from July 28th to August 6th, 2023.CPA/
